Event Recap: Wet n Wild #StayWild 2016 Preview

*Gift/Sent for Review

Hi there! Let me start of by saying that Wet n Wild is a brand that holds some significance in my beauty world. Specifically I have two memorable and distinct experiences with them. My first memory is from when I was in middle school and didn't wear a speck of makeup. I was into painting my nails at this point though, and I had a THING for a Wet n Wild black nail polish. I guess it was my goth phase or something? It was probably the most I've ever gotten out of a nail polish before!

My second story is a bit more recent. After discovering the love that is the Wet n Wild Mega Last lipsticks which you can read about here, I realized that I needed a lip liner for them. So where do I go? I go to MAC to buy a lip liner that is probably triple the price. Only I would love a drugstore lipstick so much that I insist on buying a lip liner to enhance it. I can't explain it either folks.

Anyways, last week I had the pleasure of attending the Wet n Wild 2016 Spring preview and thought I would give you the lowdown on some of their new things and the overall event!

So when I first got to the event, I was nervous and excited. I came by myself and felt a bit out of place. Everyone just seem like media and blogger. And I was just like, blah, haha. I didn't let that get me down though. They were doing manicures so I ended up getting one before the rush!

This is a couple of days old after the event!

We all got a preview of their new 1 Step Lamp-Less Gel Nail Polishes. Nail polish galore!

After my manicure I managed to run into some other blogging friends! It's so nice to see people from the CBB. I wandered around the space a lot just because there was so many things to look at!

Branded cushions, too cute!

Super pretty eyeshadow palettes for the Spring!

Another station they had set up was a little 'tattoo' center. It was focused on the fact that Wet n Wild is a cruelty free brand which is amazing! It's nice to know that a drugstore brand can be behind such an important cause.

I decided to get the cruelty free bunny with a little bow and hearts! The colour design was created with some Wet n Wild matte liners! My friend Chelle just did a great review which you can read about here.

Finally we were all able to take home some of the new pieces of the collection to try out for ourselves! Here are some things I picked up:

Had to get another black nail polish! Something that I've been loving so far are the brushes! I LOVE the crease brush so far! When these hit stores, I'll be picking up some more I think! ;)

Thanks so much for reading! Do you have any strong affiliations with a beauty brand? Any funny stories?

See you next time!
